"Peanut butter राख्न चाहन्छु, कसरी सुरु गर्ने?" is the question we hear from shop owners more than any other.
The short version: you don't have to go hunting for a supplier yourself, and you don't have to gamble on a margin nobody will confirm in writing. Tell us where your shop is. We either connect you with the distributor who already covers your area, or, if nobody does yet, we ship to you directly ourselves.
Why a distributor network instead of one factory queue
We build and sell Lokah peanut butter from our own factory in Pepsicola, Kathmandu, but we don't run every single order in the country through that one address. Instead we work with distributors across major cities in Nepal, each one carrying local stock and handling reorders for the shops in their area.
That matters for a simple reason: a shop in your neighbourhood shouldn't have to wait on a truck from Kathmandu every time it runs low on Chocolate 500g. A local distributor can turn a reorder around faster than a single national dispatch line ever could, and they know which flavours move in your part of town.
The part we don't leave to chance is the margin. However you're supplied, whichever distributor's territory you fall in, your margin is protected above 15% off MRP. That's not a starting offer that erodes the moment someone negotiates hard. It's the floor Lokah enforces across the whole network, so the number you're quoted doesn't depend on luck.
What "margin above 15%" means in rupees
Take a 1kg All Natural jar at an MRP of Rs 925. A 15% margin floor means you keep at least Rs 138.75 on that jar. Where you land above that floor depends on your distributor and your order pattern, but it does not fall below it.
Compare that to what a lot of imported spreads leave a Nepali retailer: often in the 10 to 15% range once customs duty, freight, and two or three layers of importer and sub-distributor have each taken their cut. A domestically manufactured product with a deliberately short, Lokah-enforced distribution chain has more room to protect what actually reaches your till.
Three things a distributor relationship gives you beyond the margin number
Someone local who actually answers. Your distributor knows the shops in your area, what's selling, and what a sensible first order looks like for a shop your size. That's a different experience from a call centre reading a rate card.
Stock you're not stuck managing alone. Reordering goes through your distributor, who's already routing deliveries through your area, rather than you coordinating a special trip for one carton.
A fallback if nobody covers you yet. Lokah's distributor footprint is still growing. If there's no one assigned to your city right now, we dispatch to your address ourselves, anywhere in Nepal, so a gap in the network never becomes your problem. You still get the same protected margin.
Every jar, however it reaches you, carries the same guarantees: a QR code linking to our verify page with that batch's ingredient sourcing, and any lab reports we've published for that product at /reports. We're DFTQC certified and our products are also independently tested at a private Nepal-standard lab. No palm oil, no soybean or sunflower or canola oil, no artificial preservatives, across all three varieties. Shelf life is 12 months from the manufacturing date, so ask whoever supplies you for the manufacturing date on delivery, not just the expiry.
Who this actually suits
Kirana pasal and neighbourhood shops. A mixed first order lets you see which variant moves before committing further. Your distributor can help size that first order to your shop rather than a generic minimum.
Mart and supermarket owners. Three flavours, each in creamy and crunchy, across 300g, 500g and 1kg gives you a full shelf block instead of a single lonely SKU. All Natural for the health-conscious buyer, Classic American for families who want the familiar taste, Chocolate for kids. Full range at /products.
Gyms with a retail counter. All Natural is 100% peanuts, no sugar, no salt, nothing added. It sells itself to members already tracking macros, and a protected margin above 15% on a 1kg jar at the counter holds up well against most supplement lines.
Cafes, restaurants and bakeries. Different logic here, you're buying as an input, not for resale, and the 1kg size is usually the one you want. We covered that case separately for hotels, restaurants and cafes.
Gift and event resellers. Dashain and Tihar hamper makers, corporate gift assemblers, wedding return-gift sellers. A DFTQC certified, locally manufactured jar with a scannable lab report is an easy thing to put in a hamper.
The process, start to finish
- Reach out. Fill the enquiry form on our bulk page, message us on Facebook, or call 9851406394. Tell us where your shop is and roughly what you're looking to stock.
- We check coverage. If a distributor already serves your area, we connect you directly with them.
- You get supplied, either way. Through your distributor if one covers you, or dispatched directly from us if one doesn't, yet. Your margin is protected above 15% off MRP in both cases.
- Reorder as you need to. Through your distributor once you're set up with one, or straight with us in the meantime. Either way, someone answers.
The honest summary: we'd rather build a network of people who know their own area than force every shop in Nepal to order from one warehouse. If you run a shop and want peanut butter on your shelf with a margin you can actually count on, reach out and we'll tell you exactly how you'll be supplied.
